They'll be some deal with Comcast. Heck, Microsoft has made it clear that if Monopolizing wasn't illegal they would've bought out At&t and Comcast years ago and merged the two together. That may not be the right move, but at least they're honest about it. |

That's because they are usually optimising the PC version to look nicer and run smoother on a PC, it can take a lot of work, can't be rushed like the most recent Batman was! I'm fine with waiting, I generally don't preorder either because there's no point. I will wait longer than after the PC release too for a Steam sale or GMG or the like, just to get it cheaper, PCs have lots and lots of sales! If you're willing to wait that is. Don't see the point in rushing out to play a game on day one. |

This is why I'm patiently waiting for Batman Arkham Knight. Pretty much all the exclusives are timed and when the PC port is fixed, I'll be buying it all in one shot and then playing the crap out of it. Besides, there's an old saying... "Good things come to those who wait" |

I'm a purely console gamer for the exclusives. They may be anti-consumer in the big picture, but I'm not going to stop playing the games that I want to play on principle. Kind of like ''I could wait for a decade or two and hope that Nintendo's IPs are released PC, or I could buy a Nintendo console and play them now.'' I realise that they're negative, but on a purely personal level, I don't care too much about it.

I don't see it as a problem at all really exclusivity is only bad when multiplatform titles get special treatment and content on one or all but one platform. Otherwise exclusivity forces first party developers to come up with better IP's, which is always good. Like with Bloodborne it's so successful/popular that obviously Microsoft are going to get someone to make a game to rival or best it. For that reason even if PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo only become software developers they're not going to die at all, they're big names and people are going to want to make games for them. They can offer greater budgets than the largely independent PC publishers do. Also platforms will probably exist once again on a digital field anyway, there's already Steam OS being made how long in to the digital gaming era would it be before NintendOS, PlayOS and XbOS cropped up? It's not like they won't gain money after consoles disappear. |

I get that, but I'm sure that for some people it could be a negative, especially if they really want to play a game that all their friends are playing but have to wait longer than they do to get the game. But that's just one scenario, everyone is different. |

No form is superior over the other, it's preference. If you couldn't care for console exclusives, which a LOT of people don't (you'd be surprised), then you go with PC. Initial cost of PC is higher but cheaper in the long run provided you know what you need to upgrade and which part is suitable for the cost. There's a definite learning curve when it comes to PC because there are a lot of things you need to look at when contemplating a new upgrade. This is how people get the most out of their money, there are so many options that it's not just "buy a cheap one" or "buy an expensive one", two parts can cost the exact same and have completely different specs, concerning things such as CPU and GPU (pretty much the most important components), RAM eh sometimes if youre really looking for a specific clock speed, even motherboards. Plus, a PC is an all-in-one machine where you can do virtually anything. I don't want to make it sound as if I'm saying PC is superior, I just want to clear up misconceptions. PC definitely requires a good amount of technical knowledge, the more the better obviously, so it's not for everybody. Anyway, preference. I have both PC and consoles (PS3 and XB1). Play exclusives on consoles and any multiplatforms I just buy on PC. As gaming machines they all serve their purpose wonderfully. |

Yeah, I agree Gaming is more of a personal taste. But, I usually prefer playing games in the PC. Part of the reason I prefer the PC is because back in 2002~2006 I used to play a lot a multiplayer competitive games(Especially, games belonging to the genre FPS,RTS, and RTS/FPS(Hybrid)). And this was all thanks to some of my senior friends who introduced to me some of the all time greatest competitive Multiplayer Games in PC. Damn, I remember playing all that LAN matches in the Internet café for several hours after school with my friends and some seniors. lol, sometimes we used to keep bets for some matches or the losing team would give treat( Ahhh.... Nostalgia.... )Well Anyways, moving on, the other reason I like PC gaming is because people/modders/tweakers can sometimes provide solution to a bug in the game, which was not solved in official updates. Hell, they might even make a third party update/upgrade of a game. Another main reason is that some fans of a game can actually sometimes remake a very old game with updated graphics by modding and bit of programming.A very good example of this is the remake of Half-Life 1. The modding community of HF1 were able to remake HF1(This Remake being called Black Messa) with graphics similar to HF2(Half life 2) using HF2 game engine. Now I am not saying that console's cannot have mods. They do have some. But the PC Environment is more open and accessible to the user than the consoles. But anyways these are all personal opinions. To each his own. Edited by Wong Lee, Jul 22 2015, 09:28 AM.
